Tracy Suzanne Hardwick began her performing career at tender age of three appearing as a BAG OF GOLD in Jack and the Beanstalk. From the role of an inanimate object there followed many summer seasons and pantomimes performing in professional shows in East Anglia in the UK. At 13 yrs she went to study drama, dance, and musical theatre fulltime, at a stage school in London called Italia Conti Academy of Dramatic Art. She was made “head girl.” At 16 she went onto further studies at Arts Educational schools in the barbican centre, and Old street. She graduated with a musical theatre diploma. Tracy’s first experience in film was at Pinewood studios filming the cult movie THE WALL with Bob Geldoff and Pink Floyd. A season with the BBC followed filming with Ian McShane and Michael Kitchen in LOVEJOY and a variety of performances in musicals: Dames at Sea, Merrily we Roll Along, The Rocky Horror show, Cole porter review at the Fortune Theatre West End, plays: Beasts of Luxury in the Tiffany theatre (LA) Tango til you’re Sore in the Finborough theatre (London) and a variety of TV commercials and voice over’s and jingles.
Her most enjoyable role was as FERGIE in CHANNEL 10’s DIANA HER TRUE STORY. Based on Andrew Morton’s book, which is available to see in DVD shops. And Erzebet Bathory in the beasts of Luxury, a vicious murderess who killed 650 women in 1650. Other recent theatre credits include a tour of Queensland with the QAC playing a Dutch nun sister Katherine in VOICES, where she was able to take her daughter on tour with her and perform in Mount Isa, Atherton, Long reach and Yeppoon amongst other ”red soiled” and “sun burnt” destinations! And appeared for channel 9’s The Alice as Katerina.
In 2009 she studied music at JMC Academy. Covering song writing, performing, music theory and recording music. She writes songs and “won nets” (would be sonnets) Has a keen interest in comedy and making people laugh. One of the main themes in the shows which TSH Drama create throughout the year is comedy,upbeat and lifting spirits. The shows go to the children’s hospitals and elderly homes where she directs and performs with the students.
In 1999 she studied in India and graduated from the Sivananda Institute of yoga with her Teachers certificate in yoga. Along with performing and teaching Tracy enjoys continuing learning and practising about yoga and is excited to be combining yoga with dance. It utilises many years of dance with 10 years as a yoga teacher.
Last year she created the performing company “Acquiescence” and appeared within the corporate arena entertaining at Christmas parties and on board the world cruise ship whilst it was docked in circular quay. Acquiescence specialises in entertaining at private homes for special occasions and in the corporate arena and on cruise liners.
One of her main passions is to watch the children who study with TSH Drama improve with each year. As they can arrive shy and reserved, and with each semester their confidence and self expression increase. Whether they come to learn to be actors, debaters, lawyers, musical theatre stars or simply to learn how to speak properly in class and in front of school friends it is encouraging to know that the teaching works and improves the quality of their life.
